A Month of Thankfulness

You know, some of us have decided to make this a month of thankfulness and it is a splendid idea. Not so much for the act of saying out loud what it is we're thankful for, but for making us think about what we have to be thankful for. I'm sure most of you are like me, you just take for granted that the electricity will be on, the house will be warm (or cool) the table will be set and food will be available to go on it. You know you will be able to get from point a to point b without assistance and return to point a the same way. You reach into your closet and grab that warm sweater or jacket and take the dog, your boon companion, out for a brisk walk and look all around you and see the beauty in the world. You hear the birds singing, the dogs barking the sounds of life all around you and not once do you say to God or anyone else...wow, how thankful I am that I'm alive and well. I can see, hear and feel, my needs are met and most of my wants are fullfilled. So, I'm thankful. Will post more later today. I have one thing in particular that I am thankful for and I want to share it with you. I hope it will make you laugh out loud.

Hi Sandi, exactly, point well made. We are so thankful for the life we have. Yes, horses can make us cry, they just can. Sea Biscuit was a great book and the movie, loved it. Thank you for popping by, you have drawn horse number 6, Efficient. Good luck!! Have a great week:) J & J

I've tried to make a habit of speaking a Thankful Word aloud lately and trying to be more aware of the blessings all around me!

You mentioned quite a few that we should always remember!

Have a great day!

It's so true. We all have SO much to be thankful for. All we need to do is sit still for one minute and the list will grow and grow. I'll be back to see what you've been working on to make us laugh.

Hugs!
Kat

I swear you were meant to be a writer. They way you describe things makes me feel like I am there in that moment and yes I did feel very thankful!

Oh my Aunt Sandie! My pastor was just talking about this. He says sometimes we take the electricity and all the mordern "neccesities" for granted. He says if we really pay attention, in this generation, God has more than abundantly supplied all our wants and needs.
I'm looking forward to reading more of your thoughts.
Take Care.
