Wow that's sharing! Love that quote. I have a picture I took at the Holocust Memorial in Boston of a headstone looking monument with that quote on it. So moving. I'll have to try this when I can get my brain to function enough to answer them all. lol

Love the quotation - I've seen this on Daryl's blog too. Very poignant. We have a lot of similar tastes...

If you get near a computer on Tuesday, have a look at my post because there'll be an award for you. I'll be away too so it's a scheduled post for 1am Tuesday (my time zone!)

Loved that you actually had answers for all of those, Sandi. I'd be lost on some of them. And right now trying to pick a favorite singer or songwriter? There's just too many running round my head! I'm always up for a good meme, but, it's late and I'm turning into a pumpkin. I'll try to get to it in the morning.

Hugs! & G'night!

My list would bore everyone.

But I'm puzzled by the Coffee and Tea answer. If you like them equally, how can one take preference over the other?

Sandi - This is a QUICK version of Chicken Madras as I know most Americans like to be quick at things - apart from committing themselves to world wars! Preparation time around 30mins. Cooking time around an hour. As they say at McDonalds - Have a nice day!

Ingredients
4 skinless, boneless chicken breasts or thighs
½ lemon, juice only
1 tsp garam masala
salt
2 tbsp vegetable oil or ghee (clarified butter)
1 large onion, finely chopped
ready-made madras curry paste, 1-2 tbsp for mild, 3 tbsp for medium-hot, and 4-5 tbsp for hot
1x400g can chopped tomatoes
50g/2oz desiccated coconut
small handful of fresh coriander, chopped

Method

1. Cut the chicken into bite-size pieces and mix with the lemon juice, and garam masala and season with salt.
2. Heat the oil or ghee in a deep frying pan or saucepan over a medium heat and cook the onion for 6-7 minutes until softened and becoming golden. Add the chicken and fry for 3-4 minutes until it has become opaque in colour. Stir in the Madras paste and cook for a couple of minutes before adding the chopped tomatoes and coconut. Cover with a lid and leave to simmer gently for about 20 minutes. Stir in the chopped coriander and serve straight away with rice and naan bread.

Baseball's my game, too. Unfortunately, my team is a perennial cellar-dweller! Favorite quote? "Question Authority."

Hi Sandi,

I have visited two sites today already that had this meme posted, and when the got to household chore, both people answered laundry and I just couldn't figure that out-Your reply to that question was just perfect!!!

I love Neil Diamond and Dolly Parton, don't know how the can come up with all those songs.

Fun meme, helps me get to know my blog buddies better :)

Interesting answers Sandi! It's to hot today for me to think about doing this (said in my best whiny voice..lol)

That quote is so profound! So true!

That does look like a fun one. I see that we are in agreement on Oil of Olay...a facelift in a bottle and all for less than $10! That's my kind of beauty product.

I have always loved that quote, too.

Thank you for telling me about your mother's love for E.B.White. I imagine that there are any number of bloggers who loved his writing and have tried to emulate it. I can't. But oh how I'd love to!

Hi Sandi,
That was fun wasn't it? Hey is the Smokehouse a barbeque place, we always go to a place called the Smokehouse when we go to Hilton Head. They have pulled pork, which I love. I love that quote, I've not heard it before but it's a good one. Have a great weekend. Hey I'm coming to South Carolina in September, maybe I can get by your way and visit. How far from Hilton Head are you?
