I'm a dingdanged computer genius...of sorts...

Know what I did today? Go ahead, ask me...I have been in the computer office most of the day. And I'm going to tell you how I spent the day in just a bit. But first. After going out side to a perfectly hot horrid day, (83 by 8 am humidity was gaggingly high) which turned my butt right back around to enjoy the cool and so I did a little housework. For breakfast we had dried sausage (you have to be from the South I think, to appreciate this...)home made Belgium Waffles and I put on a fresh pot of coffee. The pot of coffee I had put on at 5:30 was long gone by 10. You know, we're up before the chickens, and they're not quite as stupid as I was lead to believe. We don't have any chickens, that would be taking the farm life a little to far to suit me. But our neighbors who live in the vicinity of Angelus Road do and we heard the roosters getting up and announcing sunrise somewhere around 7:30. They announced again around noon, just in case you didn't get that first message. When they began to cackle and crow at 3 I was well away from them, sitting at the computer. Earlier this week my pal Lee got all smart and put up a playlist. Lots of my pals have a play list. For anyone who doesn't know what a playlist is, it's a music box. It's a mighty fine little musicbox of which I am most proud. When Lee told me how easy it was I began to whine...no, I didn't whine...well not exactly...I told her I'd tried once before but for the life of me couldn't get the darn thing to work. So she sent me the instructions, step by step instructions...two pages of instructions. Single spaced. Font 8. As I'm reading this over I keep hearing her say "it's really simple, just time consuming." Yep, it was time consuming. As I mentioned, we had breakfast this morning, and it's a good thing, because I never did get around to fixing supper. Or lunch. Mac wandered in every little bit and asked me if I was done yet and I think the glares that went his way soon convinced him to fix a sandwich and leave me alone. The hardest part was trying to remember all my favorite singers, songs and the titles (or at least a close proximity). I found out that there's more than a little red on my neck. I actually love Country Music...and when I found Roy Clark's (of Hee Haw fame) rendition of Malaguena I nearly fell over! It is the most beautiful version I had ever heard and my lp which it was on has been gone for years! He plays a fine 12 string guitar, I know because I once saw him play. It was the first time I had ever heard Malaguena by him, it was 1977, I believe. You know it's on there! So putting this music box together has brought back many memories for me and even though I'm tired, it's after 11 pm, I just had to tell you about it. If you don't have one, you must get one...well, you don't "must" but you should. We can compare music tastes. I won't laugh at yours if you don't laugh at mine.

Well, you go girl! Isn't it exciting when you get something to work?! Congratulations!

But....I'm not a fan of music on blogs. It's me....my brain just can't seem to read while songs are playing. I get distracted too easily. It's not a problem though...I just keep the volume off or turned low. Weird...I know. Especially since I love music. I'm the same way when I'm reading a book.

Hope I didn't burst your bubble. I'm still proud of you.

Hugs!
Kat

hi sandi well done, I also have a playlist, I change it around a bit as sometimes it can get a bit annoying having the same song crop up everytime I sign on. I look forward to your giveaway and will drop by and read your posts now that I have found you.

It is fun to look up all the tunes you love. I do it on Itunes and have found some gems. When I clicked onto your site, Alan Jackson started up so it put a smile on my face.
At Christmas I'll put a playlist on with Christmas carols, until then I'll enjoy yours.

p.s. come check out my favorites-I think you'll like my favorite song.

Congratuations, you are a computer genius! What time do you take inquiries about other people's computer problems (IPCP)?

I was up at the crack of dawn too: I am expecting a new fridge to be delivered this morning, and that sysmic event has caused me to clean out not only ye olde fridge but my kitchen too. Now, where to cook? Everything's too sparkly. ;-)

Oh dear,
now I am addicted to your playlist! So many of your favorite are mine too, isn't that frightening?
Now even the humidity is up to 42 percent here. I am expecting the sea to arrive any moment. *splash!*

Sandi, it looks perfect! I'm so proud of you! You did a wonderful job. I couldn't have chosen so many great songs. But you! You have a music catalog in your head, Girl! And it's awesome! :)

Hugs! & Joy!

Well the joy of a playlist right up high and to the right is that it can be easily turned off...er, I meant on. I don't care for music on blogs either since I prefer my own stuff, but this will be great...easy to reach that button. I am, however, very proud of you for reading through all those font 8 directions. You did it!

I am actually going to listen to Roy Clark. I think he's great.

Yup, that was masterful and very impressive! (Roy Clark that is...you, too, of course!)

Good for you - after all that work, I'm happy you like it!! Personally, I can't even listen to the music 'cause I'm on dial-up, but that's okay! I know I'd love your music, though, because you mention Roy Clark!!

Have a wonderful day, Sandi!

I thought about it but I think I would just get annoyed so I don't bother.

Hi, Computer Genius...good job!
I love music on blogs...the songs selected tell so much about the personality of the person, I think. I am not good at changing mine since I found MY THEME SONG...but, I do need to remember to change every so often....
love, bj

Great job! It sure makes you feel like you've accomplished something when you open your site and there it is, and it works and everything!
I enjoy seeing the type of music people like, but for my page, I prefer to have the kind of player that doesn't start as soon as I open the page. To access my music, one must click a link to open the player.

Good for you! I put one on awhile back...and then promptly removed it! I had done something incredibly wrong and it was all whacked out! I've just not gotten around to putting it back. I'm with you, the most difficult part was remembering all the different music I like! LOL!
Have a great day!

Just was sitting enjoying forever in blue jeans- can't wait to check out the rest of your list.

I know how you feel, today I posted a You Tube video, I had did it once before but as the saying goes "if you don't use it- you lose it" and for the life of me I could not remember how to do it- I was so proud when I finally did it.

Had to laugh about the late rising roosters, we had some that woke up at noon where we used to live.

Enjoy the music!

There's nothing on my music box but birds chirping. :) I adored the Boxcar Children books as a child. You are the first person I have ever heard mention them. It's humid ugly hot day here too and we are supposed to go to the Fair tonight. Hmmm...I might have to rethink this fair business but I really wanted to see the alpacas and chickens. This silly girl is thinking about getting some. Mind you I said thinking...probably not doing.

Well done. You're like me you like a little bit of everything.

When we were in Nashville a couple of yeas ago, we went on a Gray Lines tour, to see where the stars live, and one of the houses was Trace Adkins. He came out of the house and waved at us. Everyone on the bus was so excited, other than me and dh, as we had never heard of him...LOL

We go and see Celine Dion in concert at the end of this month. Looking forward to that.

WOW -I'm impressed! Maybe one of these days I'll get really brave and tackle a project like that. Today though, not happening! I already lost the entire morning and a couple hours early this evening in a fight to figure out what the hell was wrong with my google reader! Finally, they got things together (like their collective s**t, ya know) and got it fixed so its working again! Then, in a fit of ambition, I even got the lawn mower fired up and cut some of the grass here! Now, still sweating profusely, had I figured out a way to catch the sweat rolling off me, I probably could have saved an arid nation somewhere by providing some water for them. Oh and one more thing, I counted 13 tomatoes on my lovely tomato plants that I never expected any of them to survive much less produce some goodies for me!

How cool-good job! Do you think you can send those simple directions my way? LOL!

Well, I am up at 5:something. It is waay too early for me but all this change is causing our minds to work over time. I said,"Honey, are you awake?" He said, "yes, too much thinking going on." I said," too bad we can't turn off our minds like we do the computer." Anyhow, the first thing I noticed was your music box. I didn't hear it, Thank goodness, since I can't stand noise of any kind first thing of a morning. I have a little plug in my earphone outlet for just this reason. Sometimes I forget to take it out and someone calls me to chat and I don't know it. Well, anyway, several of your songs are favorites of mine too, but not at 5:00 in the morning. I don't believe being a country music fan makes you a redneck, that takes much worse stuff, according to Foxworthy.
