Kudos to Chesterfield County
I just have to say that I am so impressed with the parents of Chesterfield County Schools. Today a tragedy was narrowly averted because of the quick witted parents who were not afraid to step up to the plate and report what their son alledgely may have been planning. And to the parents who entrusted their children to the care of schools county wide...To read more about this go to The Progressive Journal in my sidebar, the News Leader of Chesterfield County's Paper on Line...See everyone tomorrow.

This was a case of a parent being a parent and doing what was right. Thank God for them. Not only did they prevent a tragedy from occurring but
may possibly help this young man get the help he desperately needs.
It is a scary world sometimes isn't it?
Love,
Sue
So scary that our schools aren't a safe place anymore.
Hugs!

It is truly scary the way schools are now. I spent 10 years working with preschoolers and it was so sad the things I saw and the things they said and this was preschoolers...Have an awesome Tuesday...Mary
Oh Lord, I can't imagine how the parents, teachers and kids at that school must be feeling right now. And yes, when law inforcement and parents act with foresite and responsibility, isn't it a breath of fresh air to actually hear about it, as opposed to only being told of when things go badly wrong?
Hope the kid is closely monitored for a long time to come. (Shudder.)
Hi my lovley Sandi,
I am sorry I have not been over for a while...it is just that my life has been taken over for a while by the others!
No news on baby yet.
Guy is such a great boy..see his new picture.
I will be catching up very soon I hope. I trust that you and Mac are well and enjoying the garden.
Much love,
Carol xx
Man, that's a case of tough love. I'm go glad his parents had more belief in the sanctity of other's lives than that their son would never do anything harmful. From the article it sounds like, now that the young man is in custody, there are going to be steps taken to see he gets the help he needs. Poor kid though...it sounds like he has no friends and probably really bad social skills. Wonder what the story is there.
Hugs!
How scary is that! Well...kudos to his parents for doing the right thing. And I am glad that the young man is now able to get some help. Angie
Hi Sandi, I saw this on the supper news yesterday and turned to Bobby G and said "hey, that's where Sandi lives" and then I had to explain to him who Sandi was. :) Kudos to that boy's parents. So glad your Dad is doing well. He sounds like an amazing man. ~ Lynn
I couldn't find the link and the blog did not provide a lot of info, fregin technology.
Those parents have guts. Maybe the boy can get the help he needs. It's mind-boggling to know that young people even fantasize about such destruction, let alone execute it.
I was impressed by the story when I saw it on our local news at Noon!
Happy Earth Day!♥
That must have taken such courage to turn your child into the authorities, but what a good job that they did. I really hope that with the help that he needs his life might be turned around.
I am so happy a tragedy was averted. -sigh-
And what is Blogger doing to you? Half your blogs are missing? I guess you mean, your list of blogs, on your Sidebar...
I keep blog links in Google Reader, which tells me when anyone has a new entry. But, that's me. :-) Sorry about whatever your problems are, though.

Those parents are to be commended. I know that they love their son and they love him enough to do the right thing. One shudders to think what could have happened.
Well, Sandy, I see what you mean about Blogger taking off with your buddies. I've been complaining about Blogger for several days...it's too hard for me to leave comments these days.
I agree. I would have to say it is time we have to come to that point and stop taking up and hiding the wrong.
Hi Sandi
thanks for the message They think I may have a tendon problem with the shoulder so am going to have an ultrasound scan. Still cant lift my arm from the shoulder without help from other arm. But there are loads of people worse off than me!!! Hope you all ok and your father still improving
Girl you let me know if you find the flower. Im off to a school trip with Kaytlynn. I may turn my phone off hehe. Have a good day.
Hi Sandi,
It's so scary! Thank God this child was caught but think about all the others that are planning things like this that haven't been caught. A boy was just caught with a large knife at my sons school - he's been removed but it sure is scary to think he got it in school and could have actually done something with it.
Pray Pray Pray!!! I think that is all we can do and TALK TALK TALK to our children!!!
Such a scary situation. Thank goodness the parents weren't too self absorbed or prideful to do the right thing.
Holley
It is rare to see parents who report something against their own kids. Usually, parents stand by their kids and defend them even when their actions are hitonious! Too often these days, parents don't have the guts to do what is right. In this case, they did, and their son can be dealt with and hopefully helped.
