Baby you can drive my car (truck)

I want GPS. No, I demand GPS if Mac insists on getting behind the wheel of MY truck when we take a trip that is 1. outside the county or 2. you have to make more than three turns or 3. I'm in the truck with him. No, I refuse to ride anywhere else with him, especially when he refuses to listen to my directions and then in the middle of making yet another wrong turn he looks at me and says "I'm firing the Navigator" Fine. Some of the conversation from yesterday while returning home. He ... "Where are we?" ...Me..."I have no earthly idea, you fired me remember?" He..."does any of this look familiar?" ...Me..."Nothing has looked familiar to me since you took that last turn I told you not to take. And if you remember correctly, you fired me. ". He..."Didn't we already go through Darlington?" (Sign for Darlington reads Darlington 8 miles.) Me..."Yes, we went through it thirty minutes ago." (Beginning to go lalalalalalalalalalalala in my head to prevent swearing.) and you FIRED ME QUIT ASKING ME WHERE WE ARE. I DON'T KNOW." This on top of the fact that I find Dr. Um, the best Poditrist in the world, had left for parts unknown , making this less than a spectacular day. So, I want GPS. And those are my reasons. I feel I have a legitimate case. Now on to the important stuff.
I told you that Mima at Mima's Doings (okay, her blog site is on my sidebar listing my favorite blogging buddies. I hope you have gone to see her...I'm telling you, she is worth the trip...but just in case looking at the sidebar is to painful, here is her address again...http://mimad.blogspot.com. Now, I want to pass this award on to a few of you...I think I'm supposed to pick ten...it's going to be hard to limit it to ten, but here goes...

Kari over at http://kariandkijsa.blogspot.com/ and Kijsa too, cause she's standing next to Kari and heaven knows I don't wish to be rude and leave her out!!!
Now, an especially big hug and kiss to Teresa and her Lovin' Hubbin on their 31st anniversary! Please go tell "T" happy happy... http://tpmom4ever.blogspot.com/

Okay, so I seem to over overstepped the ten...so sue me...I think I'll have to blow kisses back to 14 more this weekend till I've gotten everyone covered with hot pink lipstick. See you tomorrow my friends!!!

I am wanting a GPS also. Hubby got a nice one that even tells you where to eat. The only thing is I wanna trade my Durango in and get the new Town and Country van that has it all built in. Hehe makes it way more exspensive. He agreed to get me one,but not the van yet.
love your truck.

Thanks for the shout!! I am a navigator at heart, I love maps, and often have one open on my lap even when I know where I am going, so can't imagine anything more frustrating that someone refusing to listen to directions, it would drive me barmy! I hope for you sake that the obviously essential GPS is soon in residence, and resolves the problem!!

Fancy firing the navigator - who would do something so silly - honestly!

Oh gosh! (I've been in vehicles where the conversation was very similar. If you turned my dh around three times in a parking lot, he had no idea where he was. The lousiest sense of direction I've ever seen.) You did a remarkable job of maintaining your composure!

A "Mwah," eh? Well, I'll have to vist Mima and find out what that's all about. Shouldn't be too tough, I enjoy meeting new (to me) bloggers!

You know, I remember those boxed pizzas...didn't care for them at all. Must have been that Mother wasn't doctoring them for us.

Have a great day...hope that you're feeling terrific.

We finally broke down and bought a GPS right before moving from Seattle to Texas. We've become so attached to it that we've name it and talk back to it all the time! LOL! Money well spent and navigational arguments have taken a nosedive! Here a link to the post I did on Maggie http://dampdog.blogspot.com/2007/06/maggie.html

Oh! I know a lot of folks purchasing GPS systems or buying new cars with them included. My daughters best friend from college bought one of those darling mini-coups and it had a GPS included in it...she says it is a life-saver...so much so she has named her..."Anita"...as in Aaanniitaaa directions!! I thought that was so appropriate and cute...it fits daughters friend to a "T"....

Thanks for the mwah! gift...I feel the same about you...Maaaawwwwaaaahhh back to you...and yes...I love me some Pink lips, too!

Blessings...
Teresa

WOW!!! Beeeeeeeeeeutiful deep red truck!!! Or do you call it maroon? Whatever, she is a beauty. Must show her to husband. He who loves his really old 1950 Chevy 5 window truck, to pieces. {Mmm, that means, he loves his old truck to pieces, in case the meaning got garbled. lol}

Once upon a time, we owned a small private plane {8424 Lima! you never forget the call numbers} and I was the navigator. :-) See, I got the bug to learn to fly, at about 40 years of age. {Early mid life crisis, I guess} And I did take lessons, but... knew I'd never land that sucker, by myself. So since husband had always wanted to learn to fly, I said.. You take the lessons. He did and he did and we got a small plane and it was great fun. 'Till his eyes began to give out on him.

Gee I am long-winded!!! ,-)

And sending a bigggggg Pink MWAB! back at ya'! Thank you Hon!!!!

Today was on the brink ... teetering toward Stinkoville (don't let Hubby drive you there, though it sounds like he finds it no matter what his intended destination [grin]). But you just reset my attitude GPS toward OKville. Thanks!

Ok, don't get mad, but I have GPS and it has saved our marriage. I almost lost my husband on our honeymoon because I "oriented" the map (turned it upside down) and he got mad at me for it...

31 years later, its the single most thing we argue about so I bought GPS to save our marriage!

LOL that cracks me up. Matt has his own personal GPS. I swear you could put that man anywhere and he'll figure out what direction he needs to go to get to wherever. Unfortunately his good sense of direction has contributed to Crystal and I being directionally challenged LOL.

Goodness me that scenario sounds so much like me and hubby in the car. We all need to strike for GPS Sandi!

My husband bought GPS...I thought a silly purchase...but you know what, it is the greatest thing! I was sooooo wrong! You just can't get lost. ANd the funny part is, you can make the voice male or female and give it an accent--we chose Australian and now "Jack" rides with us everywhere!

Mwah right back at cha! Thank you. :) We have a GPS service thru our cell phone provider. It's fabulous. Last time we were on a short trip and used it we pulled over to a rest stop and I loved how the GPS lady kept repeating that we had ventured off course. LOL

We have GPS and it's been wonderful! I didn't get fired as navigator...I quit! A person can take only so much abuse, you know! *lol*
I can't wait to go visit all the sites you listed...the ones I don't already go to, that is! : ) That will have to wait until after work! Have a great day!

Got a GPS for Christmas and gas went sky high...LOL I'm so wanting to go somewhere to try it out. I know it worked perfectly when I put my mom's address in and tried that out...LOL

Thanks for the wonderful "Mwah", Sandi! I love to see other people getting this kind of thing and am always sort of, "Gee, how do I get one?" and here you just go and give me one! (Big Grin!)

I've never used GPS but I think I'd definitely find a good use for it. I'm one of those people who can't do NSEW but instead rely on R & L.

Hugs!
