The Thanksgiving Challenge...Day 9...

It's Sunday morning and normally by this time (9:20 am) I've already posted my "I'm thankful for". This morning I'm a bit behind. Not because of Church or sleeping in or anything like that. There will be no Church this morning, and when I finish up in here, I'm crawling back to my bed and pulling the covers over my head and snuggling down. This morning I am sick. While I am pretty sure it is not H1N1 or seasonal flu, as badly as I feel, it may as well be. So, this morning I am thankful that I have a warm bed to crawl to, a roof over my head and hot tea to sip. Those things alone are so much more than many people have. There are times that I feel guilty about all the riches in my life, but at this time of year just the mere act of sharing with others assuages any guilt that might come my way. Since I don't want to share what ever creeping crud is attacking me this morning, I will keep myself at home and try not to breathe on anyone. That will make a church full of people thankful!

AWWW, I am so sorry you aren't feeling well. Hopefully, with rest, plenty of hot tea and a few chocolates, you'll be back on your sweet feet in no time.
I, too, am very thankful for what I have.
hugs, bj

Sending you some virtual chicken soup to get well soon. It's miserable to be sick. Yes, we are blessed in that when we do feel miserable we have a warm bed, a roof over our head and a safe place to rest our head. The basics of life but when you don't have them they are monumental.

I hope that you are feeling better soon. I am glad that you stayed home. I do not like it when folks come to church all sick and coughing because I usually get it.

Rest, drink plenty of fluids and get well.

Hugs to you,
Pam

Oh Sandi, sorry you are sick. I am trying to stay close to home too. I am not sick, but I don't want to either. I have talked to several folks in the family and there are some sickies, but no one seems to have the big baddie. I worry about the young ones. Blessings

Oh no! No wonder you weren't on when I was up and getting ready for church. Sandi, I'm so sorry you're sick. Please get well soon. Prayers ascending for you and Mac, don't need him getting sick too.

Our church honored veterans and active duty service men and women today. Prayers were said and thanks given. Thanks to Mac and you for doing without him when he was at sea so that we could be safer.

Love,
Lee

Boy, I can so empathize with you on the going back to bed and hunkering down there till you feel better! And speaking of feeling better, I hope you shake off this stuff quickly and that you don't get bogged down with more or something else on top of this!
Get well fast!

Sandi...I hope you get well soon! We do tend to take for granted the basics..I feel exactly the same when I'm down with a cold and fever...so thankful for a bed that I can crawl into. That itself starts the healing process, I think!

I hope you're feeling better today. Keep warm, lots of drinks and rest. Whatever 'needs' to be done can wait.

Yes, thank God for that nice, warm, comfortable bed.
Get well Sandi, we're all anxious to hear more of your thanksgiving stories.

I don't know what you had but so glad you are feeling better. In church Sunday when everyone in the congregation stood up for the "meet and greet", everyone was knocking elbows or nodding their heads....there was no hand shaking....very sad I thought.
