I'd like to thank the Academy....Part Deux
This is the second award I received yesterday and it came from Sandy at IBeati (http://spiritifelici.blogspot.com/ . Her awards are her own creation and she has a friend, Mary, who helps with design. The Special Scribe Award is for writing and to say I was pleased to receive it would be an understatement. I once made the statement that I was a wordsmith. I love words, putting them together, dressing them up and throwing them down. I learned long ago that poetry doesn't have to rhyme to be lyrical and prose doesn't have to be succinct to be meaningful. I began to read further back than memory allows and was encouraged to do so by my family. I in turn encouraged my own children to read and to put their thoughts to paper when they could. I feel that blogging is perhaps the most spectacular tool for people to reach out to others with their talents, their concern , their very humanity. Through this medium I believe we can teach, learn and grow and become better people for having done so. So I thank you Sandy for this dear award and the privilege you give me of passing it on. I have three in mind who delight me with their words and comedy...I know that if I ever need a good laugh, the "bringing tears to my eyes" kind of laugh these three ladies will guarantee it.
The first of my Awardees is Sarah at http://britgalusa.com/ or Brit Gal in the USA who never fails to cheer me up and remind me how difficult it can be sometimes to be in a foreign country, even though you love it...she'll teach you how to keep your pecker up...no, really...
The second of my Awardees is Deb at http://lehnersinfrance.blogspot.com/ or The Lehners in France. I once read something that Deb had written that was so funny I was wishing I had on some depends...this lovely English family living in France is nothing short of hysterical.
The third Awardee is Kari at Just Living Large or http://grannyskywalker.blogspot.com/ and her take on life will spin you out of control and completely out of orbit. She can throw a rant like no one else I know. And I know this little missy quite well. She doesn't call me Aunt Sandi for nothing.
So, these are the three that I would like to honor. I will say as Sandy said, please display it if you like, and pass it on if you will...an honor shared is an honor expanded...

Well I am most touched Sandi and thank you for my second award ever!
I hope to be keeping 'peckers up' for a few more years to come!
Congratulations Sandi on this special award...one I've never seen before. You are very deserving for sure. I don't know the other two (yet), but I'm so happy that you're passing it on to Kari.
Hugs sweet friend!

Sandi
Well deserved awards for you Are you feeling any better? I hope so Hamish sends you a friendly purr!
Sandi, first of all well done on this lovely award. I thought your speech was eloquent as ever.
Thank you so much for passing the award on to me I really truly appreciate it. My blog never started out to be read by others, it was to help my husband realise that life ain't so bad, as he suffers from depression. I wanted him to be able to smile when the dak cloud descended.
I am very touched that so many people comment and seem to enjoy my take on life and people.
Thanks so much Sandi love Debs x
Durgh, that was meant to read "daRk cloud." I seem to have a problem with my R's today! Debs x
Isn't that a beautiful award! Wow! One of the prettiest I've seen.
Kari's blog is definitely a winner and now I must check out the others because praise from you is high praise indeed.
Thanks for the links!
Congratulations on your well deserving Awards!
I enjoy your blog very much!

Another well deserved award, and one that is brand new as well - I'm sure that makes it twice the honour!
I keep meaning to visit the Lehners in France, and have had a link page to them open for about a week, so I think I should now consider myself prompted!
Congratulations on the award Sandi, it is very well deserved! :)
Congrats on your awards Sandi. I really love coming here and reading your posts....They are very deserved!
Hugs,
Penny
Well thank you so much and congratulations on receiving this award yourself! I'm glad you like my rants - I came dangerously close to posting one again today. It had something to do with man sickness. You know what I'm talking about, you've posted about it yourself in the past. When a man gets sick, Heaven knows he's the sickest thing on the planet who is suffering more than any human has ever suffered. That's Randey. This very day. Sick and whining. lol I finally told him to suck it up, soldier on, grow a set and drink that $&%@# chicken broth I'd fixed for him. Geez. Men...can't live with them (when they're sick) and can't live without them (when they're not).
Talk to you guys later,
Love ya'll,
Sissy (or you can just call me Nurse Ratched. lol)
Oh my Gosh. It just occurred to me. I can't even say thank you without ranting. So sorry about that. Let me try again...
Thank you so much for thinking of me and mentioning me in your post. It's one of my great joys in life knowing how well you and I communicate!!
Much love to you,
From your loving niece,
Sissy
There. Better? :)
Sandi, I'm a big fan of all three of your awardees .....
Congrats on the awards sweetie! you certainly deserve them. Always a pleasure to visit you.
Congrats on your award. I just read your comment on my daybook. For all he knows, I might be a simple woman unless we're going on the premise that no woman is simple.
I'm thankful all over again for my Honey Bear who was there when they wheeled me away for my test and when they wheeled me back. He even helped me dress. I was thinking about how well that man knows me after 41 years, almost as well as he knows himself. I told them I wasn't ready for the test and he told me to change my attitude. Ha!
Mama Bear
good for you - special choices a wordsmith would make .!!!sandy
Congratulations on this award to. Having just read your post about the gazebo, I agree wholeheartedly that you deserve a scribe award!
