Hope your Good Friday is productive...

First of all let me thank thank you all for your caring concern over Mac. Today we're doing some good yard work, with the help of Evil Sister's son, Jason. Mac, who swears he will just be supervising, has his work boots on, so I doubt that. He'll be shoving Jason aside to "show" him how he wants it done. Men. Can't live without them, can't just shoot them...so says an old Forester Sister song, anyway. I'm going to be out there with them planting my Good Friday plants. Have a wonderful day everyone, I'll be in to check on you later. By the way, the truck was loaded down with cow manure, cypress mulch, a flat of Gerbera daisies and other assorted wonders for the garden. I bought him a saws all (reciprocating saw) for the work we have to do with landscape timbers. He has always wanted one, yet every Father's day he gets a stupid tie. Yes, it is Spring, and the blood is churning!

Have a great day...nothing like getting your hands in the dirt! I will be spending the day with my Mom...she seems to be getting stronger...I sure hope so...

Take care of Mac & you ;)

Sounds like a fun day, Sandi! Hope you find lots of reasons for laughter. Or maybe enough earth worms to go fishing. Do you remember the title to that song? I'd like to hear it. The phrase is familiar but not the song...so when you tell me I'll go hunting on YouTube. :)

Hugs!

(Insert Tim the Toolman sound here) Saws all. Yeah! I heard about that for years before one came to live at our house.

Mac will probably wear himself out and wonder why he's tired. You know, this may all be male menopause. I swear Ricky's going through it. He even has hot flashes.

Hope you share some pictures of your garden. I'm wistful for some beautiful daisies myself but since there was some white stuff out there this morning I don't think too soon.

Sounds like Mac is doing much better. Please take pictures of your spruce up. I've been doing the same thing and have very grubby fingernails.
Happy Easter,
Holley

It all sounds good...did the doctor say it was okay to garden, reciprocate saw (lol), and tug, pull, and shove nephews out of the way?

I love Gerbera daisies...so bright...so colorful. Hope that you had a lot of fun in the garden. (Hope that you get gentle rain all season long.)

Take care and have a marvelous Easter weekend, Sandi, and, Mac, you too, Boo-Boo!

Ah, he wants to play in the dirt. He must feel better!
But he still has orders from THIS old pushy Yankee broad to behave himself!

Happy Easter dear Sandi...bless you and Mac.

Love,
Sue

Hope your garden grows very well Sandi!
You know, I watched my dad give up his "dadly" duties very reluctantly when he began losing his eyesight. It was really hard to keep him still, but he finally found a place that he was comfortable with as we engaged him with questions of how he would do it.

A new power tool for Spring?

This is a tradition I could really see being implimented at our house!

Nice to hear things are sounding better for Mac.

Dear cuz,
Found your blog..glad to hear all is well but still wondering who the evil sister is and who the heck is Jason..I,too, went to the great and mighty Wally world today and got shasta daisy seeds, potting soil, and came home and dug and planted.Sure hope something comes up..the smell of the soil brought back good memories of home long ago and the garden and Mammy and Momma and Daddy and all the cousins.
talk again later...got work again tomorrow-indoors ALL DAY,DANGIT..

LOVE,Becky.

Hi there sweet friend!

Wow...it seems f-o-r-e-v-e-r since I've been by for a visit. I've had fun "catching up" on all your posts I've missed while away on my trip. I've enjoyed them all.

We had a wonderful, but busy time but I barely had time to do a post on my blog, so I didn't get to visit anyone. I've got so much "catching up" to do, but I'll do my best.

Sorry Mac hasn't been himself lately. Boy, I know how men are about doctors and test, etc. I'll keep you both in my prayers. Keep us updated.

Hugs!
Kat

I really hope that the gardening went well, the bonus with doing the garden is the fantastic results which make it all worthwhile. However, is Mac supposed to be out there? He must be feeling a bit better though which is great. Lots of love to you both and obviously the animal family!
