The Vanishing

Hey, all. This is Sandi's oldest son, Wallace. You might have been wondering where your author's been for the last week. On Monday evening she was admitted to a hospital with an infection, one that looked to be extremely serious by Wednesday morning. The good news is that — at the moment — things look good, and she's expected home by next Tuesday. She ought to be able to leave the hospital with all the body parts she came in with, too.

Until then, don't expect a lot of activity on this blog. I considered bringing in my laptop and checking to see if the hospital had a wireless connection, but it seemed rude to surf the Internet when the Grim Reaper was hanging around. He's a stickler for etiquette and decorum and I decided it was best to stay on his good side.

I'll let my mother tell you the whole story when she's comes home. Until then, if you wanted to post any comments for her, I'll print them out and see that she gets them.

— Wallace

Thanks for the update Wallace.

Thank you for letting us know, Wallace. I do wonder and worry when we haven't seen a post for a while. Please let your mother know that I'm praying for her and cheering her on to a full and complete recovery. If anyone can give the "GR" a run for his money, I know that she can. Give my fond regards to your dad as well.

Sandi -I already sent you a message via Lee's blog but I figure one more message telling you to hurry and get well, back home, all in one piece too, and do it as soon as possible. Diverticulitis is a pain in the gut that can also be -in more ways than one -a royal Pain in the A**. Glad you got things fixed though!
Cheers and Peace and Whatever else you can think of but most of all, just plain get well quick wishes coming your way.

I had wondered where that lady had run off to! I know if she could have, she'd have picked a far more fun place to go than to the hospital. I truly hope she is on the road to FULL recovery. You make sure that she behaves herself (as if), eats lots of fruit, drinks lots of water, and lets the sun shine in.

Your 'Grim Reaper' comment is so Sandi. Either you got the Attitude honestly in your DNA. Or else, your mother put those words in your mouth. If so, that's a VERY good sign that she's on the mend.

I hope you did get home today and are recuperating in comfort and being spoiled by your sweet husband.

Oh wow I am so late here AGAIN I am really sorry Sandi. I should have guessed when my inbox got quiet. I have missed you and I hope you are on the road to recovery. Thinking of you and sending prayers your way. You have a great son there. :)

Just in case Wallace didn't get the time to get to David's, his ode dedicated to you (which reminded me to come on over btw) is -

Random Wit, Errant Rhyme. Not A Literary Crime

Said the surgeon to Sandi, "Evaporation is handy
But our data suggests not to gargle with brandy
We once had a resident who was ever so frisky
That we sent in a SWAT team to get rid of his whiskey"

I think it's pretty good!
Get well soon. ((((Sandi))))
