Home again!

After two weeks, I am so happy to tell you all that I am finally home from Carolina Pines Hospital. I find that after two weeks in bed I am surprisingly tired and yes, a bit weak. But I know that this will pass. I was so touched by all of the concern from you, my friends, that it was a bit overwhelming. Wallace printed out the comments and my nurses were all suitably impressed that I had so many loving friends who were worried about me. This will not be a long post, but there will be a complete explanation that may prove to be a cautionary tale that I myself will be paying heed to! Again, thank you all so much. Your love and support helped me immensely. How can anyone give in to fear when there are so many hands and hearts pulling you along. I want to say a special thank you to my dear Lee at Chrysalis Dreams for the daily phone calls that I grew to look forward to each day. More tomorrow, for I am sure I'll be feeling much better!
My love to all of you
Sandi

My heart leaped when I saw your header 'Home again' I have opened your blogsite so many times a day just hoping to see such a header. What a joy and blessing it is to have you back again in the land of the living! I can't wait to discover what it was that attacked you so fiercely, and my prayers will continue wending their way to you until you are strong and well again. God bless you

So glad to see that you are home again! That's a big relief for me and I'm quite sure it's an even bigger one for you!
Take it easy getting back to doing ANYTHING! Just make sure you're not over exerting yourself in any way at all. Takes time -a little longer too when you get to be in our age range -to pop back from any illness, especially one that involves major surgery.
But I'll sure be looking forward to reading your posts once again.
Peace, my friend.

We've been on the road today, so I'm slow visiting this afternoon. We're back at the lake.

I was so worried about you Sandi. It is so very true...you will need a couple of days, at least, to rest up from being in the hospital. I'm anxious to hear what happened!!

Hi Sandi,
This is Strutz the Cat sitting in for the Count he wants me to convey our best wishes for your recovery in the way only a handsome, sophisticated, and refined, feline like moi can do. The Count is old and has been through recovery from serious conditions several times;and so, he says to tell you to take it very easy and listen to your doctor. I'm still on the road riding shotgun with my buddy truckers. Maybe the next town will have the home that deserves such a cat as myself. "On the road again!" Strutz the Cat

I am so glad to read this and to know you are home again! Every day will be better.

Rest. Drink green tea. Love on your kitty. Think happy, healing thoughts. Walk just a little bit every day, in the sunshine when it's warm enough! :-)

Dearest Sandi,

When I checked your page for your update the song that opened was "When I Get Where I'm Going" which seemed perfect to me. I believe that God put us together to be friends! :-)

I loved talking to you every day too! And I'm missing that! Work is chaotic right now during decent calling hours but if things smooth down I might find time to make another one or two between the day and evening shift. If not, how about I try for the weekend?

Love,
Lee

Dear Sandi, I'm so pleased that you're home. I'm sure sleeping in your own bed will help your healing.

Now rest-up and also pamper yourself - is a way towards wellness I strongly recommend. Sit back and enjoy the Springtime outside, even if only through a nearby window for now.

Sending love to you, and Mac, and all your family, Michelle and daft darling Zebbycat, xxxx and much purring

Hi sweet Sandi

For some reason I'm easily brought to tears today and finding out you're home just made me tear up again. Good tears. Tears of happiness. Tears of thankfulness. Praise God from whom ALL blessings flow.

Welcome home sweet friend. I wish I lived close enough to run over with a pot of soup and some cornbread. You rest up. We're here when you're all better.

Gentle Hugs!

Strutz the Cat here. I'm checking in for the Count and myself to see how you're doing and wish you well. I'm still riding with my trucking buddy somewhere on the interstate highways between Somewhere and Nowhere. The last couple of towns weren't much so I stayed in the cab while my driver brought me treats and a saucer of milk.
He told me the story of his young grandson who was born with a defective
heart valve and is awaiting surgery.I'm really starting to relate better to these humans I'm meeting. Meanwhile, "I'm on the road again"...
Get well soon. Strutz the Cat
